Just finished watching It’s a Wonderful Life on ITV . They don’t make them like that anymore. James Stewart and Donna Reed are Hollywood Gold. It is my wife’s favourite Christmas film. Two Christmases ago we went to our local small several screen picture house to see it. My wife was delighted to sit in the cinema, about 130 seater, to discover we were the only people,. Yes in the end I convinced her I had booked a private screening…..well worth the white lie.

We have just got back from the Royal Ballet screening of Nutcracker in Dartmouth Flavel Centre - it's become a tradition now. She loves it and I tolerate it as she does the same with my Plus 8 passion. The live screenings from the National Opera House is more my and our thing. All those with EV's may they always be charged like your glass of malt  I have Alistair foremost in my mind here

Just got back from having 8" of blood clot (dvt) removed from my upper chest.........
Apparently super rare, but even more so in a man of my age.....
Annoying as I've been ridiculously fit and healthy all my life....!!!
A huge thanks to all NHS staff working this Christmas, everyone I've come into contact with over the last 5 days has been unbelievably helpful, cheerful and professional.
Also..... our friends in law enforcement and my former colleagues in the fire and rescue service, I hope they all have a safe and quiet festive period.
Oh........ and happy christmas to all on TM and hopefully the posts will remain educational, informative and friendly in 2025........🥳

A huge thanks to all NHS staff working this Christmas, everyone I've come into contact with over the last 5 days has been unbelievably helpful, cheerful and professional. Agreed (for all emergency services). Unfortunately the paramedics couldn't do anything for my pal this morning (heart attack), but they were so supportive to his wife and sister. Going to be a very strange day at their house tomorrow, but life has to go on. I shall provide as much emotional support as I can. Get well soon Julian, that sounds like quite a large DVT!
