Hi All, Could anyone tell me is there a way on making the indicator "tick" louder. Also the indicator light brighter, but I think that will be the easy one. I have a1991 plus and during daylight the indicator light are so dimm as to be easily missed when not self cancelling. Also the tick is hardly audible at all. I have had a very close near miss recently because of this situation and am resolved to rectify one or other if not both.
Happy and safe New year to everyone,
Barry

CANBUS friendly LED indicators from Classic Car LED's to make them brighter. You can change to clear lens as well. Motorbike indicator beeper kit as here to increase sound.

Hi Richard, thanks for reply, I think I may have made a misleading post. The lights are the dashboard ones not the actual turn indicators. Thanks anyway,
Barry

An Audicator is the answer to the bleeping, they can be set not to sound straight away and to increase volume after a certain time and can be reset by touching the brakes. Buzzers can get irritating when having to keep an indicator on at traffic lights et al. I have been using one reliably for 20 years or so.

I fitted a M/C indicator beeper in the spare wheel space, easy to fit and cheap less than £10 if I remember correctly.

Barry Hi Barry, many years ago I fitted an audible bleeper as I could nether see the dash board flashers or hear the clicking when using aero screens in strong daylight. It is a three pin unit that simply replaces the existing flasher relay and at the time Lotus seven owners were fitting them. Initially it was still too quiet so I drilled a small hole through each flat of the plastic casing then used electrical tape to seal them back up, untaped one hole at a time until I got the right volume, too many holes untaped and it sounded like a bin lorry. Simple and cheap, the unit is pre canbus at the age of your car and has no effect on the dash lights unfortunately. Had a quick search with no luck but there must be some available somewhere. If not perhaps Brian and Pauls suggestion of an Audicator will do the job.

Another vote for the Audicator, I really like the function of starting the beep cycle (which ramps up gradually) if you dab the brakes
