£75k for that? ^^^^^ You've got to say that's a pretty strong ask. I'd offer maybe a tenth of that, it's going to swallow £50k or more getting it back together.

£75k for that? ^^^^^ You've got to say that's a pretty strong ask. I'd offer maybe a tenth of that, it's going to swallow £50k or more getting it back together. In my humble opinion, that would be a fraction of the cost of what it would take. The bespoke elements of the bodywork, the parts that AutoGT used (perhaps in some cases had made), any other individual parts/ mechanical elements, the fact that it looks like it has suffered further degradation due to the way it has been stored and that is before the engine (not inexpensive) and drivetrain are looked at. As per the comments at the beginning of this thread, if you could do a lot of the work yourself it would be a major project - call it a labour of love - as well as not being an inexpensive one. If, however, you had to pay others to rebuild and repair... well, I'm sure those of us on here who have paid to restore, or even overhaul, a 'project' know how rapidly the costs mount up. What I do keep wondering is why the owner didn't have it repaired in 2015 after the accident.

As a "poor" pensioner I can chip in £0.50 Or perhaps a little more having just missed out on a MINI.

As a "poor" pensioner I can chip in £0.50 Or perhaps a little more having just missed out on a MINI. When it was your turn to drive it, it would certainly be an interesting counterpoint to the proposed Mini ...I fear groceries may get a little hot in the cabin, so no ice cream or frozen foods! Joking aside, it would be nice to see that SS back being used on track in historic racing or open events.
