Make sure the rear connection cable to the bulb hasn't pulled back through the fibre washer.

Are you referring to the front side lights / top of wing? I can't remember when Morgan stopped connecting them as they did not comply with EU regs - instead there is s a sidelight/parking light in the headlamps. A year or two after the non-compliance issue Morgan stopped fitting those lights on the wings.
Many have re-connected the wing lights - I believe the loom is still under the wings and just needs to be connected into the main loom.
Cheers,

Are you suggesting that the top of the wing sidelights were fitted but not connected Graham? They would make good daylight running lights with some led bulbs in them!

Thats exactly right Jay. My 2008 bespoke 4/4, one of the last produced before the 'Sport' was introduced, has the side lights fitted to the wing tops but not operative. As Graham says, the wiring all appears to be in place neatly taped up beneath the wing. This has reminded me that I really should get them wired up properly. Hadn't thought about the idea of using them as daytime running lights.

I just can't remember when that started! The wing lights did not meet the new size regs, whenever that came out, but MMC continued to fit them, with the cabling, to allow dealers/owners to reconnect - they are, after all, a fairly iconic part of a trad Mog They would make rather good running lights - but I'm not sure you'll find any LED conversions small enough to fit inside the housing... (The ones I bought will be fitted to the Land Rover, eventually! ). Cheers,

I remember that my year 2000 +8 did not have the wing lights connected and this was done by the dealer at my request. Graham, you can find small LED bulbs to fit as running lights. They are quite bright and white, so I have also changed the bulbs in the headlight pod so that they match in colour. Looks very good, even though I say it myself. Neil

LOL, those propellers would be fitting for a bullet-holed 3W'er!
Although, wouldn't solar be more practical?
