Not bad for a 20 year old, a realistic price imho.

The same thing happened to us Le mans 2012 it was like a scene from Allo Allo, he never said Good Maawning he just pointed to the rear of the four seater and said boot boot.I got out of the car and explained that the rather large wheel hanging off the back was attatched to the bodywork with no boot. Not to be outdone he the made some hand waving and pointed to the void behind the seats,at this point I shrugged my shoulders and decided not to open the rear cover up He leaned over the rear stuck his hand down the gap pulled it out rather quickly having just rifled around the bag that held the grease gun, what a result. It's these little things just make your day in a Morgan. Em

A few years ago that would be an absolute steal for a Roadster, now maybe in this new post pandemic, ULEZ, will I be able to burn petrol, all cars are dermot world we live in, it might be about right. Who knows!

It's a sign of the 'perfect storm' times....
less interest in ICE cars, fewer buyers, ageing and declining group of owners, failure to attract younger/new buyers, MMC's change of direction and misreading of the market.

The CX is a bargain, however, when there's no demand the market decides what things are worth. Super 3's are plummeting in price as well, but then no one seems to want a used Plus 6 either.
If you happen to be in the market for one..... and you are very much in the minority, there's chance to pick up a bargain. BUT....... you'd have to be fully aware of the fact that your purchase will keep losing money, the days of rock solid residuals are long gone.

It will be interesting to see what the EU does regarding ICE and whether it will extend its 2035 deadline or just drop it under increasing pressure from the automotive industry. Not to worry because NI is in the EU so it maybe able to still sell new ICE cars beyond the UK 2030 drop dead date, until the EU drop dead date comes into effect.

I don't think that Roadster sets the benchmark. Low spec, imported with kph speedo. Needs recommissioning. Tappet noise. Neglected under bonnet.

All of those things will have put bidders off. In 2004, this one may have sold at a whiff under £40k. Three years later, maybe around £35k. So even at bargain basement £22k, depreciation of £13k over 17 years is way better than most cars. A friend of mine thinks nothing of a £15k loss in three years from new, and just keeps going.
