Hi all,

My 2005 S1 Roadster arrived at my house yesterday and I set the clock. When I pushed the set button, I noticed the hands went counterclockwise, instead of clockwise. I thought that might be correct, until I later noticed my clock was running in reverse. Instead of moving forward in time, it is moving backward. While there may be some circumstances where going back in time might be welcomed, this is not one of them. Anyone have any suggestions on how to correct the clock? I did have to jump start the car when it arrived as the battery was pretty dead. Thanks.

I'd hazard a guess the connections to the clock have been reversed. smile

From distant memory, I thought the terminals on the clock were different sizes so impossible to get wrong polarity, unless wires have been spliced in along route of course.
Until you said you had jump started, my initial thought was whether someone had connected battery wrong way round. Still worth checking perhaps?

Yep, I'm with the polarity too!

Odd question but where's it been?

A little sceptical of the reverse polarity suggestions as per Deejay post. I know the pulse ones are polarity independant. I would drop dash and try removing the power feed to clock before re-connecting. You also have the opportunity of confirming polarity then.

Hello all and thanks for the tips. I disconnected the power (purple) wire from the clock, pulled the fuses and reconnected everything. I made sure the clock was not powered and when I reconnected it, no joy. It is still running in reverse. If the polarity was reversed, I imagine I would have fried the clock and gauges when I started the car. Will keep you posted if, and when, I figure it out. In the meantime, I am feeling younger every minute. I bought the car out of Florida. It was listed on BAT in December. I was the high bidder but did not meet reserve. In the month following, I was able to make a deal. Blue with red interior,

Do you have an alternative battery to try ... yours may be failing .... since this happened have you removed the key? ... if not try pulling it out and replacing
