Eject ! Eject ! John Nichol. A fairly tedious collection of historic data mostly around M Baker.

For West Country fans from my son in Cornwall . Blame it on the Cider Roger Evans. A delightfully funny history of cider making and use told in true West Country fashion, almost as good as a trip out in the Plus 8 for smileability laugh2

Mortimer and Whitehouse - Gone Fishing.

Good read and the potential source for yet more 🐠 🐟 puns!

Last year my oldest bought me Show me the Bodies How we let Grenfell happen, which was tough reading the survivors stories and interesting from the cover ups of value engineering in the refurb.

This year her choice is a little lighter, which I've yet to start

Hmm, I seem to have landed in a sea of intellectuals. My reading, which is voracious, is almost all crime fiction usually at £5 for 10 paperbacks from one of many charity shops. I suppose that I am now an authority of sorts on how to kill people but since few novels allow the culprit to escape, I know little of how to get away with it.

If Bob the Train wants to try to understand Schrodinger and quantum mechanics, Hawking wrote a couple of readable books on the subject. When my wife saw me reading one, she reminded me that I was at the same university as Hawking, at the same time and reading the same subject but there the similarity ends. He maybe didnt spend his university years messing with cars ( Singer la Mans for 10 shillings!!)

I've read "A Brief History of Time" and "The Theory of Everything" and found them really good, if a little difficult.

Richard Feynman "If you think you understand quantum mechanics, you don't understand quantum mechanics".
