When you listen to any interview on TV or Radio a direct question asked by the interviewer is answered by Yes and No and then continues with the answer. I’ve always found this odd.

Do the schools not teach kids how to speak No. That's the job of the parents/guardians. Most are too busy scanning social media on their phones (parents)

I get annoyed with technical acronyms ,I don't understand most of them and have to look them up. Do you get annoyed with abbreviations as well? Not to mention initialisms, another subset of abbreviations, often confused with acronyms. Oops, I mentioned them. A favourite, recently heard, acronym is CORGI: Commanding Officer's Really Good Idea.
