Simon.I remember seeing a stunning metallic white one in dispatch with Charles and Mark lLeddington and it had a squarish plate over the bottom wing vent. It honestly spoilt the look of the car cant quite remember the reason for it but was only on the federal model. Em My understanding is that it was a styling addition that was added to the Federal cars - so no further function that someone felt it added something to the design. In terms of the amount of Federal Aero 8s, I believe the rough number of cars that ended up in the USA to be circa 30 - 50.

I brought my 1991 Plus 4 back under the 25yr exemption. Went smooth and without issue. So it can be done. I bought mine at Berrybrook and they stored it for almost a year. We flew over, drove and visited friends for two weeks, then dropped it off in Southampton. had it container shipped to Savannah.
