In the process of servicing my Plus 4 Ive detected a small amount of play in the nearside king pin. So while the weathers still poor I'll have a go at replacing them. Lsat did this a good few years ago on my previous Plus 8 so I know the procedure (although I'll have to cadge a reamer from somewhere!). I want to make a drift for the bushes but don't know the external bush diameter, I assume the inside diameter of the bush is 1 inch but does annoying know the outside diameter?

thanks in advance

Gary

I had Cain at Wolf Performance supply Mulfab hard chrome kingpins, renew and ream bushes etc. Having pre-booked with him it was a while you wait process when I brought the stub axles over, but admit I only live 52 miles away.

Brill thanks.

I’ll get the parts ordered from Wolf today but for those of us ‘Oop Norf’ a day trip isn’t feasible hence the DIY approach. Besides I enjoy the satisfaction of doing the job myself.

Cheers

Gary

The main body of the drift is 30mm apologies for the blurrrrrr.......

[Linked Image]

The top part of the drift (may have been Mulfab) is 25.19mm. This is so that it fits inside the bush.

The base is very heavy and the stub axle rests in that for the bush extraction.

He is a one man show and can't always get to the phone, try in the evening or message him.

I don't usually lend my tools out but you are welcome to borrow my reamers.

I'm busy sorting through the 3 tons of vintage motorcyle cycle parts my late Dad accumulated at the moment so Morgan work is taking a bit of a back seat.
