It was a beautiful sunny day yesterday, we were out in the Morgan around the Fylde. Typical last weekend of school holidays you couldn't move around the area for traffic flowing into Blackpool etc., for a sunny day at the seaside.

John, so nice to know that there is still life in the old town. The Fylde was and hope is still a wonderful area to live. Your posts always make me reminisce but gone are the days of the completely packed beaches of the 50s and 60s. In the 60s I was a student deck chair attendant and a tram conductor having served my apprenticeship on the Derby Racer ! (Google that?) My Morganing with all 4 cars was to visit my parents and old friends . I would usually take mum down the prom . She was a real daredevil in her day. Flying a plane from squires gate ( no pilots licence, just a friend let her ‘drive’ ) and she rode bikes in The Globe of Death in Manchester . Naturally she liked to drive the Plus 8 ! Hope some of you TMers have enjoyed the splendours of Blackpool. MM PS I never broke down on my trips from London to Blackpool but it seems from this site I must have just been lucky. I think the old Morgan’s were somewhat bulletproof when new………

Stewart,
Do you know where your quarter light/ wind deflectors came from? I want to fit some but just can't think about those cheap plastic options as worthy of drilling the pillars for!

Yes they were made by Steve Simmonds and put on the car by Williams when it was supplied new in 2008 You can try contacting Steve, (he’s on Facebook) to see if he has any plans to do a few as he’s just done a small batch of his sliding pillar rear view mirror

Saw a Morgan in Southminster this morning while walking the dog, anybody on here ? I did drive into Burnham later for a loaf of bread and some Belgium buns.

Now the rain has stopped I need to get to grips with the grease gun before my next trip out. Have been watching some of those You tube videos of driving up through Norway. So tempted to do it in the 4/4 minus the caravan but doubt it's feasable for me at this late stage of life.

Last time we were there those tyres still showed "BF Goodrich - 1942" on the sidewalls

Last time we were there those tyres still showed "BF Goodrich - 1942" on the sidewalls I did notice that at least 3 Remembrance Wreaths had found their way under the tank so I'll recover them tomorrow with a spring rake and tywrap them onto the frame on the tank. Perfect excuse for another run out, thanks to the unknown lads
