thats why Rog's progressive assists are so good. Rog's damper assists work so amazingly well I find it difficult to imagine why the factory never got around to coming up with a production version. Every trad should have them.

The Bilsteins should not need extra bump stops because they have conical progressive bump stops built in. The lower mount on the brake backing plate is, however, a known weak point. I resolved the whole issue with the 5 link system 😃

Took the opportunity to have a close look at my rear suspension whilst on the hoist for our equivalent of the MOT (every six months) this morning , and while not like Montegues it didnt look that flash , we dont salt the roads so our cars look a little cleaner under there, but the welding looked v average.

Looks like poor quality control from the company they bought them in from .... if the claims in the Supersport launch that they were bringing the process back in-house are true then hopefully there'll be less issues of this nature.

Pleased you like your assisters chaps It always struck me that Trads were peculiar little cars with their axles sat on top of the chassis rather than slung underneath like a normal car. With the axle trapped between the body and chassis there's little scope for extra articulation. So super critical to get everything working just right in those precious few inches of movement, whether you have a 5 link set up or a pair of cart springs. But when everything is optimized and working together, with good quality components the ride can be surprisingly good.....

Yep! still loving mine Rog. Probably the best ride mod I did to my classic cart sprung example along with the BRB's ( crosshead top support stays )! If Morgan do take production back in house they would be better off adding a mounting bracket to the rear hoop to accept cone assisters and hiring a good welder too! Although to be honest I don't think Morgan are really interested in us classic owners anymore so I'm not holding my breath. They seem to be ploughing ahead with newer technology at some pace, no sooner has the CX platform settled into the market than the new CXV has taken over, although the problem with getting it all accepted in the US market will probably mean the CX plus four will be around for some time to come and Matthew Hole has said there are no plans for the super sport to be available in the US. Wonder what that will mean re. their direction in the future?

Yes a proper welded bracket on the hoop for a conicle rubber and who knows, things might have been different....
