We’re heading off to Eastnor to do a family day of off-roading with Land Rover in April, just realised that the factory is less than 10miles away. As we’ve booked a long weekend up there it seems like a great opportunity to pop in and have a look around (it will be a Saturday so it’s a quiet tour as its tools down).

A few questions:-
Is it worthwhile on a Saturday as there’s nothing going on?
Is afternoon tea any good (it mentioned food on the tour description)?
Do we get a discount from here?

Rather excited as I have never done a factory tour and given I’m looking for a Plus Four I think it may encourage me to press the button quicker (don’t tell the wife).

Ta in advance.

Discount on the tour, the shop and the cafe, but not on the Plus Four ... coffee

When you put your Plus Four order in I’m sure they’ll refund the cost of your tour 😎

If you are thinking of ordering one in the future, talk to your favourite dealer and pre-agree that they will refund the tour as part of the deal on top of whatever else you end up negotiating.

There is a friendly person available at the factory who can talk you through what a Saturday tour is like - call the “experiences” extension. I found them very helpful. I guess you will still see all the working spaces, just empty of people.

The cafe is quite decent for snacks or a bit of cake, but not “afternoon tea” in the more elaborate sense as far as I know. Again, ask the experiences person at the factory.

You could hire a 3-wheeler while you are there and take it for a spin …

The cafe do have an afternoon tea: https://experience.morgan-motor.com/experience/the-morgan-experience-cafe/

The cafe is run by a bakery which also has a restaurant in Malvern, the quality is very good, though the prices reflect that we are in Morgan land!

We went to the factory today, what an absolutely wonderful experience - even our 10&12 year olds enjoyed it.

Lunch was nicely done too!

From arrival to departure everything felt personal and dare I say homely, our guide even waved us off as we drove off.

I think the kids mentioned at least a dozen times ‘daddy, you have to buy a Morgan this year.’ Our son loved the Super 3, daughter preferred the Supersport. I think it will be a PlusFour. Hugely impressed by the craftsmanship and the time the guys and girls took to talk to me when I asked questions.

Thoroughly recommend going if you haven’t been before.
