An appeal to the collective wisdom.
Mrs Image and myself are heading down to the Member's Meeting in April (in the camper rather than in the Morgan like the last Revival, as I have a lot on and have to nip down from Scotland and back up so no time for touring) .... Mrs Image was wondering how the 'off-track' experience compares with the Revival ... it will be a smaller meeting in terms of numbers of punters (she doesn't do crowds so that appeals) ... so presumably there'll be less razzamataz and amount of stalls etc .... we are there primarily for the racing but an idea of what to expect for the rest of the time would be good.

K It is like a smaller Revival meeting - with much the same layout and stalls. It's not the massive crush of crowds, but still quite busy. If the weather is good, it's a great event.

The Members Meeting is a favourite event for both Susie and myself. Very relaxed, no crowds, great atmosphere and plenty to see. We normally stay at a pub near Arundel. Bud 4/4 - Stanley

Thanks guys ... useful to know ..... hopefully it will be a dry weekend ... we were at last year's Revival as our first visit to Goodwood .... Mrs Image coped with the crowds surprisingly well (whole weekend and didn't punch anyone! π) .... and in spite of the weather being pretty dire and several areas becoming mudbaths she was adamant about going again ... so here we are .... it sounds like the off-track diversions will be more than adequate.

Whatever the weather we won't be under canvas and the camper has plenty of room for wellies and wet-weather gear ... unlike the Morgan once it was packed for camping and luggage for 2 weeks away π

The right crowd and no crowding.........!
If......the weather is good.....it's great, If you liked the revival you'll love the MM.
Take some thermal undies, Airfields in April are likely to be cold..... It snowed a few years ago down there.......π₯Άπ¬π§

Looking forward to it ..... it snows in August up here ..... thermals are for southern softies ... we just pull a polar-bear inside out and wear them as overalls!! π
Mrs will appreciate a lower density of random Humans ... and a bit less 'razamataz' won't upset me at all (the booming cinema screen was just a bit intrusive at the Revival last year ... doubly so as hardly anyone watched it) ... long as there's decent food and drink (don't need anything fancy) and lots of lust-worthy cars we'll be fine π
