Here are photos of my failed Mulfab rad. The welds were not full penetration except in one or two places so the bracket came off & the rad leaked. Here is the repair in place. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2023/10/11/20231011_135559.jpeg) Here is the smaller failed bracket on top of the new bracket for comparison. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2023/10/11/20231011_120209.jpeg) My advice would be to avoid Mulfab if you can & if you can't get the top bracket heavily beefed up.

It's very clear in the bottom picture John that the weld on old curved edge bracket had little or no penetration onto the top tank wall except for barely one fifth of total welded area. Clearly this put huge stress on that small area of tank from bracket strain causing local fatigue and eventually allowing lower side of tank to be ripped open, material of which can be seen still attached to old bracket!

Looking at John's photo I'm not keen on cheapo fabricated nasty angles for bends either, much better flow rate with proper smooth radius bends and less likely to catch bubbles that form airlocks (sorry John, nothing personal)
