I have a Plus 4, 2006 car with the Duratec engine.
While in local classic car specialist I asked them to give the car a thorough mechanical check over in anticipation of a road trip in June.
They have found a small crack in the radiator where hose joins top of rad.
Not uncommon I believe.
The car has not lost coolant up to now.
Looking for solutions.
A new radiator appears to be out of stock from morgan.
Who supplies aftermarket radiators for my car (at sensible price)?
Has anyone tried one of the cheaper brands we see on ebay etc?
Recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks folks

Have you checked out Mulfab? I've had a Mulfab aluminium radiator on my 4/4 since 2008, it's been perfect.

Mulfab changed ownership recently. Mine failed after 14 months and they basically told me the Morgan dealer fitted it wrong we can sell another or rpair it at your cost. I'd avoid them.
I had it rewelded locally & on inspection the top bracket weld was not good enough & not full penetration.

I think you can buy the bit for the top.

I have a plastic rad from a 2014 Roadster that was working that you can hve for free but I see you are very far away.

P.S. you posted this in the CX forum. you should move it to the trad forum.

Thanks for the responses folks. Turns out the rad was not the plastic type but a metal one. Not sure if this is original to the car or whether the previous owner had upgraded it. Anyway - it has been out and taken to a rad specialist who braised the crack and it is now back in the car and doing well. Fingers crossed!
