just prepairing the MOG for his journey in his homeland. Checking all fluids. And yes, in cause I was ill, no looks for a long time.
But two years and about 6000Kilometers/4000miles.

Needs a little oil, 1/2Liter -okay. But: water! Usual I keep the (cooling) water in the middle between max and min.
But now it‘s a little lower than min.

I live in the Middle of a small town, so the MOG turns hot (a little more than 100C) at the last Kilometers, so he can heat and blow out a little? And no worries?
I can have a look (and will do it) from the top for some leaks, but travelling to a lift doesn’t make sence in cause it‘s very wet outside and you can see nothing.

They can leak a little coolant in a cold environment but usually when warmer weather comes these cease. Assuming it's not a radiator leak maybe worth taking car for a run then nipping up all hose clips whilst engine warm.

Take a look at the T piece close to the filler tank they can leak a little and need tightening.

Place a large sheet of cardboard under the car to show up the location of any leaks.
My Duratec started leaking slightly around the rear of the engine (only noticed during MOT from a coolant stain on the gearbox bellhousing) and it turned out to be a faulty Coolant Thermostat Housing pipe that had developed a minute crack in the moulding.
This is a plastic manifold with several pipes attached and sits at the back of the cylinder head under the coil pack on the Duratec. It is a well known issue in the world of Ford Focus, etc.
I replaced it with a Quinton Hazel part from ebay for around £30.
Appreciate, your GDI engine may not be the same though.

So, it‘s checked.

The garage is dry, so no bigger drops. That‘s the good point.

With no drive around a look at all screws around the hoses. But with an cold engine. Only one was tight!
I give them all one or two turns to fix and now (German Angst) I hope I havn‘t overdone it. I think the result would be the same…

The next days will give me the expierience about my work.

Yep Richard has good advice there. Plastic fittings and rubber hoses aren't the best of friends and usually the plastic part has moulding flash marks so a warm tighten will often cure the problem. The T piece just outside the header tank is a suspect part, they can jus totally fail and good practice is to replace it with an alloy option, easily obtained from ebay or car builder. If these initial efforts don't help then do a pressure test via the header tank cap, if all ok then suspect the header cap and replace, its a Ford item although the Iveco version is superior, same size fitment.

Forgot to say, The clips themselves do stretch over time, yes not by much, but often enough tho have a leak under pressure. Just think how many times they go from hot to cold to hot.

Oh stretch over the time… Never had such thing with my old Minis.

But about the „plastic-T“ near the tank. There is a brass T in the glovebox.

But now on the way. Reached Britain very fast (Schengen - Calais a little bit more than 4 Hours).
