WOW! Thank you for the video, and you were so quick to post it too! Prepare for your "views" counter to increase a few times per day from me alone.

In my spare time I find myself watching all the youtube 3 wheeler videos over and over. I can almost recite the fifth gear video by heart now laugh2 .

EDIT: Thank the S-I-L for me as well, the radio was much more enjoyable than the rushing wind noise on most. Besides, there have not been any videos shot from a "chase" perspective, so +1 there!

Hello Brian,
thank you very much for posting the stunning pictures and the video. I can`t wait for the delivery of mine. The body is already painted and it goes in the final assembly line this week. So I have to wait two more weeks. I like the checkered flag at the front wing of your 3Wheeler and try to get this fixed on mine too.
Kind regards
Günter

Muchas Gracias for the video. Quite dribblesome.

Interesting the light arrangement at the rear, with only the two units above the numberplate being brake lights. Also the overall light positions and types. Certainly bears looking at closely as it appears it would not be too hard to use the units on a vintage twin. In case anyone wonders, no vintage trike should be original in this respect now as the law on rear lighting changed in the 1950s and is one of the few motoring laws to be retrospective. Many now use lights from a Triumph Mayflower but the modern units look as though they may present an acceptable alternative.

Front number-plate, I'll let you get the fines, although I suspect all the vintage three wheeler owners will be watching to see if you get away with it.

There was an awful lot of history on the topic of number-plates pre-war as many Morgan three wheeler owners wanted to use the smaller motorbike sized items. And were told "no" at that time.

I'm afraid that it's actually chrome Jeff, the fluorescent lights must be giving the brass effect. Thanks Steve, you're right it is a perma-grin!

Great news about your 4/4 Mr M, a very exciting event. I look forward to reading about it here, or maybe our paths will cross in Geneva.

Glad you enjoyed the video Mi3W, I'll try and post another one sans radio soon...

Grazie molto Peter (almost the limit of my Italian!). wine

It won't be long now Guenter, I do look forward to seeing the spec and the colours. If you have the chequer-strip, does that make our cars related? Seriously, are you going to the Works or having it shipped to your Dealer?

Thanks Martyn for your comments, I know you are not keen on chrome, but the spec works for me! cloud9 On the front number plate issue, what is the experience of the vintage guys? Has anyone been fined for no front number plate? If it is a big issue, maybe I just go with black and white plates. Any advice would be appreciated, even if it is don't do it! nono

Lastly AQM, I've measured the steering wheel and it is indeed 350mm. I don't think that a small wheel would look right on the 3W, also why I don't want a branded wheel. Just my 2 cents-worth...

Lovely car, Aero, well done! Just a thought, if you'd ordered the SUPERDRY model perhaps you wouldn't have got so wet on the drive home! GerryWal.

Great video Brian.....I seemed to have got into shot at the very beginning and then talking loudly to the guy from MOG Mag! Sorry about that...didn't realise your friend was videoing!!

The radio sound by the way sounds quite surreal!!

One of the nice things about the video was seeing the M3W in a traffic situation from the chase car, I always think you get a better perspective of a new car once it is on the road in its' natural environment.

On the question of front number plates, I believe I am correct in saying that the fine for not having a front plate is only £30 and no points are involved, so you might want to take a view on that. [Just check to see that it hasn't been changed recently].

Oh, I wasn't thinking "small". In fact, I was thinking "I wonder if it could take a 380mm wheel" grin2

As far as I know, no one has been fined, but then, no one does it either! I have seen a rally plaque covering the front plate but that's as close as it gets.

The display of the wrong colour plates is again something we don't do in the historic world as all are allowed the earlier style anyway. Not unknown in the four wheeler world and you probably stand a better chance of getting away with it as ANPR will have no problems. But you won't pass a MOT 3 years down the line as number plates are part of it now.

You also have a further risk factor, although I've never heard of DVLC doing it without a warning - you could get your personalised number cancelled and taken back.
