Seems I will have to change the oil pressure sender unit on my 2011 4/4 sigma engine.

But can’t find that brass bit. Gues it has different threads each ends.
Anyone know what those threads are & if anyone does a replacement.
Also I have been told it is very difficult to remove without it breaking. Apart from lots of penetrating oil, any suggestions on how to release it.
Typical morgan the gauge is a 7 bar gauge, but the sender fitted is an 11 bar.

Why do you need to change the brass union?

Simply hold the brass union with a spanner and unscrew the sender from it.

Most senders I've come across use a 1/8 NPT thread form

Arwyn, hopefully I won’t need to change it. Well known Morgan dealer warned me that they tend to break/shear. Thought I’d better get a spare before proceeding.

Why not get the dealer to do it. You asked his opinion so why not give him the job. It can't cost the earth and no doubt he has all the necessary tools and knows where to get the right parts.
