I would imagine it being one and a half times the cost of a BMW wings off probably but that seems very expensive.

It feels a little high but given the limited access and work involved not out of court. How many miles did he do in it ? The biggest risk is the lack of footwell space leading to you resting your foot on the clutch when travelling. Given the lightweight and torque it would lead to quicker wear. I have an S2 (same drivetrain but boggle eyes) with 33k and it's solid. I don't try racy standing starts or slip it for spins etc but I do use high throttle openings which would load it. As for the Aston - Any car with that box gets a wide berth from me. Well know as a wallet eater. Perhaps time to look at the AMG-GT now that a new shape is out. The 4.0 with the AMG Speedshift is a good thing and it makes lovely noises when you are not in Switzerland With the current flat market and new model there are some bargains out there right now?
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I wonder how hard it would be to DIY the job? Cowl and wings off, engine out. You'd need a lift and an engine hoist with decent space in the garage. I did the clutch on my MGB GT on our gravel driveway with just axle stands and a hired engine hoist in the back of my Land Rover so I could move it around.
I know these modern cars are more complex, but it's all still just nuts and bolts, and they put them together in the factory without any particularly fancy kit.

Everything on the Aero is a faff.the complete flat ali underneath is captive the wrong way round this might not be needed to be removed I would also get the starter stripped and overhauled if you get access or the engine has to come out also the oil pipe o rings their a real nightmare unless you have hands of a four year old.
