Has anyone who owns a CX platform PlusFour noticed a slight but continuous loss of coolant? We are talking about 2-3mm from the main tank ever few hundred miles and it appears to be escaping through the coolant cap. The clear pipe from the top of the tank has tiny water droplets in other and even after drying the pipe out the condensation comes back. Anyone else noticed the coolant level lower than the mark. Cheers and safe travels Rob

If i remember well in 2020 when the first radiator was changed the factory told my dealer not to fill up untill the coolant level mark . And the coolant has to be added with pressure ..

Thank you for the reply - I am wondering if I am chasing the level to the marker and it actually needs to run at a lower level to allow sufficient expansion. Perhaps I will stop topping it up and see where it ends up. Perhaps the back of a breakdown truck?!

I don't have such a phenomenon with my PlusFour MY2022. What model year is your PlusFour Rob. Do you have a picture of the pipe with condensation?

I would place big sheet of cardboard under it in the garage to spot any drips. Although new to this forum, I guess you are familiar with the historic radiator problems with early CXs.

On my MY late 2022 PlusFour I had a slight coolant leak (on the garagefloor) one year ago, with was a problem with the connection of a hose to the Swirlpot. They (the dealer) checked it afterwards with pressurizing the system overnight, then everything fine. Just recently, 1 month ago at my 24 month service check, the dealer did notice a leak at the radiator, while I had no complaints and couldn't spot any coolant on my garage floor. The radiator was replaced by a new upgraded/updated one, from another supplier I am told. So the cooling system is something special at the PlusFour so I would avoid unnecessary restrictions of expansion!

Appreciate the replys. I am convinced the leak is through the pressure cap on the passenger (uk car) side reservoir. The clear pipe consistently steams up. I have removed the pipe from the reservoir and blown compressed air through it with small pieces of paper towel to dry it out. I can replace it and run the car for 30 miles and it's full of condensation again. The cap has been replaced and the temps according to an ODB tool never exceed around 104C but still the level slowly goes down. There is no build on the floor or in the engine base cover or any trace on the radiator etc. Other B48s run at over a bar of coolant pressure but the cap is rated 1 bar and I can't help but wonder if it's marginal. Im tempted to just keep letting it go down until it either stops going down or overheats! Its a MY25 - picture here https://tinyurl.com/MY25LEAKThanks once again Rob

My passenger side sits at 1/4 full. The driver side 1/2 full. If I full the passenger side to half it just vents back to 1/4.

Oh perfect! The marks on the tank on the passenger side ( the high temp engine / turbo side) are set around half level and I keep topping t back to the mark. So if I let it fall your saying it will settle and stop leaking. I have hope! Many thanks - I will report back. The Charge cooler side on the drivers side doesn't get that hot unless you drive to rally hard for extended periods and that doesn't vent
