Well, we have the drip.. The Plus Six is going back to the dealer this week to have radiator number four installed. Luckily ( or not ) radiator three failed within its 24 month warranty period. I have to say that both the dealer and Morgan have been excellent so far over this.. Hopefully the new radiator will allow us to make our anniversary tour of France in June and maybe make it back to the UK.
I just wish the MMC could solve the issues with the radiators as its always in our minds now when we drive the car. Although the newer Plus Fours ( and maybe the new SuperSport ) now use a different manufacturer for the radiators I am not sure this is the case for the Plus Six replacements..

2 questions:

1. Do the radiators all fail in the same way?

2. Has the factory modified the design of either radiator or mountings?

Seems a bit mad that so many owners seem to be suffering repeated failures.

Hi Em, yes indeed, we had the upgraded rad 18 months ago and a software update. The factory have assured me we are getting the latest revision, but I do not know if this is the same as the one now fitted or if its a Mk1 or a Mk 20. Factory not saying, just that its the latest.. The factory and dealer have been great so far, big push to get it done, so I cant complain with this, more so in the tight time frame.

Just would like some assurance that it will fix the issue.. its spoiling a good car.. bit like waiting for a ticking bomb to go off all the time. We are becoming fed up with the idea that the rad could fail at any time.

Hopefully MMC can solve the problem for you Dave so that you can enjoy your trip to France without any worries.

Hello Hamwich, in our Plus Six the failure has been in the area of the nearside side/core each time, the Plus Six radiator/mounting has been revised almost as many times as the Plus Four by the factory. The failure period does not seem specific to miles covered, you can have low miles or normal milage use.. Its certainly the Achilles Heel of the cars design.
