Hi all,
I’ve joined specifically for awareness of a post circulating on social media, as a concerned motoring enthusiast!
I’m sure this will have already been seen by members but I’m very concerned this will lead to the cars being stolen or damaged.
There is a video and photos on Facebook of what appears to be an abandoned home, with multiple classic cars including Morgan’s and Minis, in various states of repair. Along with lots of memorabilia and reference to someone by the name of Roger, which after less than 2 mins of googling I’ve managed to find a full name and address for the poor chap.
It appears to be someone by the name of Roger Bluff who is/was heavily associated with Morgan.
I will include the link below but I wanted to post to see whether first of all anyone was aware of this, but to also find out whether anyone has contact with anyone that could assist or let any family of this gentleman know that his home is being vandalised and his vehicles are at severe risk?
Many thanks in advance Concerned motoring enthusiast!

Welcome to Talk Morgan and thank you for taking the trouble to report this. I don't think there is cause for concern. That video has been around for a while, it looks like "Dark Explore UK" has recently uploaded it to Facebook in the hope of making some money. There were discussions on Talk Morgan last year: Found on youtube. It was noted back then that the house had since been secured. Hopefully, someone here may have a more recent update?

I hadn’t see that post however this is a different “explorer” -The Bearded Explorers video as you linked to is a different chap than these that have uploaded recently. I hope you’re right in that it’s now secured but the post from Dark Explore UK appears very recent and their other posts seem to point to them not being very ‘professional’ if you will. What seems odd is that Roger’s name appears frequently in the Morgan world and from posts I’ve seen, it appears he is/was still very much alive and around, yet his property and prized car collection seem to have been abandoned? Can anyone shed any light on this? Is there a backstory? Kind regards

Why don't you ask him. He is CS for Thames Valley as you probably know.

Not sure how I’d know that, I joined to see if anyone that knew him or may know someone that did, was aware of his assets being at risk. I don’t own a Morgan or have anything to do with them, I’m just a fellow motoring enthusiast. I initially assumed he was no longer alive due to the house and vehicles appearing to be abandoned.

I guess there will be many with basic humanitarian instincts that would be disappointed to watch a couple of trespassers going through someone's treasured possessions that no doubt took a lifetime to collect. It could be that the owner is in somewhere in the care system, or hopefully found a totally new life somewhere else...
I suspect there will be many on this forum who may have gathered much clutter around themselves be that in the attic, basement, garage, huts, greenhouses back gardens or any combination of the kind, it seems to be quite a natural pastime for some individuals, been guilty of creating a garage collection myself.. (-: I believe there is even a TV prog related to some folk who live amongst piles of stuff they have collected constricting their ability to use the basic facilities within their home, I think the TV show may be a series, which also seems to suggest that there is an audience for such "entertainment" and as such, money to be made by providing it... Shrug... Such is life and the way we as a society have evolved...?
Perhaps best to enjoy that which we can while we can and enjoy sharing it to some degree, be that in person or digitally as on this and other forums, while we still can do so, as opposed to the various unfortunate alternatives..?
Me..? I have a bit of brake dust to be cleaning out and some greasing to be getting on with, Mog MOT tomorrow...Fingers crossed.

I can let you know that the owner is very well aware of the video, and steps have been taken to avoid this happening in the future.
