We came home on the 11th March from a spectacular road trip on the NC500. 8 days later, now Monday afternoon, as I attended the kitchen sealant, I became dropping tools, and the next minute, I'm on the floor. My right arm and leg were useless. That came on on less than five minutes. I also felt at ease, which was weird.

The ambulance arrive in about 30 mins, and by that time, my arm and leg were recovered to about 90%.and on the journey to the Hospital, they came back 100%.

However, the stroke decided to mess with my words and spelling. Over the next two days, that improved, and my chat is like normal, although I can't remember a few words. I can read as normal, but my spelling, means writing posts is a lot slower than before.

All tests were normal. Low blood pressure, no serious Cholestrol, no diabedic traces. The consultant is thinking it might be a small clot from my heart. So I have to do a 72 hour wired up.

The MRI shows a small shadow on the left sight, at the language location. So now I need to arrest this spelling issue, and it is improving slowly.

Meanwhile, no driving for a month and has to be notified fo DLVA.

That's the latest news for now. I was lucky.

Dave, glad to hear you caught it and they are giving you a full MOT.

"I can read as normal, but my spelling, means writing posts is a lot slower than before.", whilst not a Dr, I am recommending writing lots of post on TM as physio... but also, so that you can give: John V6, Luddite, +8Rich, Hamwich and CooperMan some competition for the Top 5!

Sending best wishes your way!

Sorry to hear this Dave! Wishing you a speedy recovery. I presume they also did a cardiac ultrasound and US carotid arteries. "Fortunately" you did recover fast, which is good for prognosis. You can be relatively save with the right medication, which I think you already got prescribed.
Warm greetings from The Netherlands!
