My airbox gauze is in need of replacement and I’m struggling to find the right material after visiting various DIY and fish tank retailers…. The size needed is 120 x 400mm, 15 mm thick Does anyone know where it can be obtained? Thanks!

Should be an airbox from Ford, I'm not into the roadsters, not because I think there is anything wrong with them, far from it but it doesn't quite suit the roads I drive around here in very rural North Wales. Look at the airbox for manufacturing marks then take it and the info to a ford parts supplier.
I'm sure someone here will know exactly the information you require and let you know or if there is an aftermarket intake system that you could install instead such as GKN.

Looking at the size, is the OP referring to the filter on the heater airbox?

I would search through eBay sources, buying a large enough piece to cut to size. Often finding the right material is down to accurately describing what you need.

I don't have the numbers to hand, but the S1 Roadster uses a Mondeo filter. From memory it's the ST220.
Bosch is F013694, so try the equivalents.

The OP's description sounds like he's looking for the black open mesh foam that fits into the top of the heater box air inlet ?

That was the basis of my reply above Jon.
