Great to have the car back in the family. I really do love the T16 engine, it sounds much nicer that the Duratec engine cars, it has a lovely hum that suits the car better. Although5 miles from home I noticed a lack of power and it started to run on 3 cylinders! Hopefully a coil pack, ignition leads and spark plugs will cure it.

I forgot about this post!

It has been an eventful ownership so far!

The misfire that I got on the way home from collecting it ended up being a burnt out valve. Luckily own a car dealership and we got it sorted within a few weeks.

I finally took the car home one Friday night, and excited to take my son out for a drive on Saturday morning...

Saturday morning is wet and cold (early Nov). I didn't even get out of the village until I drove into the back of someone! Someone just stopped in front of me quite suddenly... I locked up as there was around 1/2 inch pedle travel until the brakes bit, ended up hitting the car at around 5mph..... bent wing and radiator surround. The insurance quote was £14'000!

With parts availability it got delayed and delayed and I finally collected it around Sept 2024 (a year from actually buying it!)

I felt terrible as my dad had it for 14 years and it was almost as new after all that time.

Anyway, its all sorted now, I've just moved house and had a nice big double garage built and I'm out it it a few times a week. I love going out for cricket in it and coming home roof and screens off and under the stars!

We've recently had a garage built... I made sure it would fit 4 (sports) cars! After a Roadster, I'd LOVE a Red Class A racing Morgan and a Plus Six.... so yes, I have a space to fill over the next 10 years!

Bugger, not even 24 hours. £14'000 Insurance to fix the car? How much is the car worth? You are lucky it was not written off.

How big is the garage? My current two car garage is 6 metres deep by 7 metres wide with a 5 metre wide door, we are building a new house, flat block and single story so we can live there even once we are old ( or older as sometimes I think we are already old) and the current design is 6 metre deep by 12 metres wide with two 5 metre wide doors. So 4 cars can fit and all can drive in or out without moving another car. That suits me for my car desire but I also want room for woodworking etc. however it is going to be hard to fit anything bigger.

You must play cricket quite late to drive home under the stars. Assuming it is summer in the UK.

Not as big as yours! I will be able to squeeze in 4 cars, 2x2!

One of the teams I play for on a Friday night always go the to local pub for a few drinks and the pubs alway put on a bit of food for us... in May its normally dark when we leave!
