I'm interested to hear what stereo head units people are using in their: Aero 8, Aero SuperSports, Coupe (over to you Alistair!) and Aeromax?

In my S3, I had a very nice pioneer unit - not too 'flashy' (it was challenging to find one without lots of blinking lights and graphics!) and the silver trim detail was actually metal, which fitted perfectly with the turned dash of the Aero 8 S3.

In my later Aero product, I had the wonderful Becker Mexico Retro, which I felt was a superb match to the style of the vehicle and cabin. Functionality, at the time (2009) was adequate (navigation via a small screen, phone connectivity and music via a hardwired connection) but in 2025 would seem very basic.

Porsche have an excellent line of stereos, which fit into the dash of their classic models and offer a small screen and full phone connectivity (Apple or Android); however, this is a branded option, so unless a Morgan owners wants PORSCHE on their dash, it isn't an option!

So, I'm interested to know what people are doing?

Is it is a matter of putting up with old tech or has anyone found a hidden gem?

I’m using a Blaupunkt Frankfurt RCM 82 DAB modern take on a 80’s radio.

Works well.

Works well.

Jonathan, they are excellent, as are the Bremen.

I've used both in classic 911s and they really have the retro look, with modern functionality, gauged perfectly. I keep hoping they'll do an interpretation of this:

Although the screen is small, it really is all you need for a basic navigation powered by your phone, including speed camera alerts and gps speedometer.

I have the Blaupunkt SQR in my 928. It looks great and with the old school orange led selected, really adds to the 80's vibe.

it is however, very fiddly and the DAB is not great, even when I fitted a new DAB aerial and new wiring.

Maybe on of these if a better fit - still in keeping with the car but a bit easier to use and mostly bluetooth phone controlled and probably better suited to an Aero or other Morgan with the ICE mounted on the tranny tunnel/ under dash. Has a look of the Becker that came in a 90's Ferrari.

I had a Blaupunkt 200 in my MGB. Looked the part, but died after about 15mths of daily use. Volume control stopped working. May be a 'one off' but put me off a little.

That's a nice looking unit Simon. I have an Alpine 93 Bluetooth DAB unit which works well and is not too blingy. Be nice to have ApplePlay though.

I agree David - I personally use WAZE / Google Maps a lot - so the screen is a nice option. I also like how tidy it is, without having to have a phone holder hanging off the dash.

The fact they've called it the 'London' is a nice bit of serendipity for a British car as well!

I have been struggling with what to put in my Coupe and this looks like the answer. From what I have seen, it appears not to be available until spring 2026 - unless anyone knows otherwise ?

Would be nice to be able to change the two control knobs for turned metal to match the Morgan dashboard items.

In speaking with the UK distributor, it seems to be a delay caused by (perhaps) licensing with Apple regarding CarPlay.

As for the control knobs, I'd imagine it wouldn't be too challenging to take one off and have a company make a turned metal version.

Perhaps if there is enough interest, we could approach them and see if there is an appetite for a discount on a group buy of the head unit and then do a similar thing with the knobs. Bonsie on here may know someone who could help with the metal work.
