My other half, being shorter than me, is finding the Morgan Plus Four hard to drive. It seems what is required is some additional lumbar support and elevation by an inch or two.

I'm generally averse to putting cushions on car seats because in the event of an accident the person might "submarine" ie slide forward under the lap belt.

Has anyone looked into elevating a seat position by some sort of cushion which would be safe? Perhaps something L-shaped (or folding in the centre) might be what's needed?

Thanks for any tips.

I'd recommend a thing called a back friend. Brilliant thing, seems to fit any seat. I tried one and ended up buying several for relatives. Works well on the couch at home too.
Medesign.co.uk I think.
No connection with company etc.

That sounds good thank you. Does it give enough elevation to cure the too-short-to-see-over-the-bonnet problem (in a not too severe case)?

PS for others not aware of the risks of using an ordinary cushion, see page 11 of these guidelines.
