Don't quite know whats going on here many of us on this forum have taken a dive since purchase ,if your fortunate enough to be able to buy one at the savings you mention please feel free and go ahead but it wont be one you specced. Build slots have been quite short for a very long time bye the way. You can purchase with cash pcp Hp or whatever you want but you don't want any depreciation your gonna be waiting a very long time.

Like Dave I put together a list of preferences for a Plus 8 , kept an eye out on line then on a trip to visit my children in England visited as many dealers as I could , (with a very tolerant companion) I almost weakened and went for a brand new Plus 4 -but the dealer didnt take me seriously -in spite of having a heads up from someone over here that I was coming, and it wasnt my spec. In the end I asked myself what I had wanted for 40 years and it was still a Plus 8 , and luckily Berrybrook called back and said you better have a look at one they had just got -I was in Cornwall at the time so after a five minute test drive I did some serious thinking -continued my travels including a factory visit and on the day I flew out rang up and paid the deposit. Still very happy with my sister to +8 Rich's car.

The fact that we're having this conversation really says it all. When MMC overproduce cars which are overpriced for the market, we see this massive early depreciation which is directly leading to fewer new car orders. That's not sustainable, especially if you have a raft of well paid executives at the top and even worse if any loans are involved.

As Dave says, over production and over pricing are the main problems.
Depreciation was almost unheard of in pre CX days.
I accept there is a perfect storm of factors possibly affecting the 'toy' car market at the moment, but the Italians certainly aren't 'reading the room' when it comes to their sales strategy.

The numbers are just too large and the depreciation too extreme for normal car enthusiasts to stomach.
The (very small) Morgan market will pretty soon be saturated with unsellable, unwanted and over priced CX stock.
Anything on finance will be a nightmare for owners to get rid of and dealers will have loads of unregistered stock.

It just isn't sustainable.

We're watching a 'perfect storm' happen......sadly..........🤷🏻‍♂️

However.......... on a positive note...... if there is a spec you've always wanted, spend the money and get it ordered.....!!! You can't take the money with you so it might as well bring you some joy while you're here.....😆

The entire European market is in decline. New and classic cars are struggling to find buyers. Morgan is in a micro-market, but it's suffering from the same problem as all the major luxury car brands.
