Brief update. (For anyone interested) been to look at a middling TR and really liked it but constantly kept thinking I’d use this instead of the Morgan! I want a car to complement the Morgan not compete with it. Also went to look at a dolomite 1850 that broke down! Missed a very nice herald and still have the vitesse centre strange but can’t find in for sale within 150 miles!
2012 Plus 4 in Sport Green. Much comfier than the Plus 8!
I had two Dolomite 1850s, but both were free rotters, The '74 was better built than the '78. The later one just fell apart' and interior quality was pitiful, although looked great in the showroom.
We had a Mk1 Vitesse, also totally rotten.but at least with a chassis.
I would also go GT6. I regret never having one.

Have had a GT6 and enjoyed it ... but is it different enough in function from the Morgan? .... you could go the other way and get an Austin 7 .... the road even less speedily travelled but a completely different take on getting from A to B.
