Hi everybody,
after getting lots of good ideas from this forum (just ordered a pac safe and kanulock straps for our next trip to England) I am thinking, how to attach the Smartphone to the cockpit. The usual car holder are way too big.
Any good ideas?
Thanks and best regards

If you have an iPhone with MagSafe, you can search for "compact iPhone mount" on Amazon and you will find a number of small mounts that work well. I can't find the one we got but it was quite similar to this (apologies for the ridiculously long URL -- Swedish site but German site should have similar products)

https://www.amazon.se/-/en/PlusAcc-Vacuum-Magnet-Phone-Holder/dp/B0F18V6PVH/ref=sr_1_15?crid=3TKQZL1VJSVML&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.rmSgWAN6p7Yr-GodojyjFYmP34cN1V7DF8fpQUqMBOrBWbwVy_KQH1n3_yfTn0KT9SprCL5nedb5_Y00mhlR4orBNJSJYByYH0iuRn9oaydL3f9pMhoxn0UUKscfpBIIPMxWLls_nrso-KlPQRiKVUJVZyufzsGtmIt0HU-VOPbs98hUOxE_DheNCR9XcwXXZMuZ4QqpLw9eiuWTKA-cFcfH82fYykDqNSH95FSU9LMXHKJsvKldX3wyjaX4ZmJdu68h5LT6zZlQo5NGpn1XqTSCfKEl0Qt8-i6pael7D3g.E-reKJhHSjPsFb8t-MWED_UKNaYkCrsD_7dffYcFIqY&dib_tag=se&keywords=compact%2Biphone%2Bmount&qid=1752054918&sprefix=compact%2Biphone%2Bmount%2Caps%2C87&sr=8-15&th=1

If you have another phone brand I reckon you can find something similar with a mechanic clamp on Amazon

I use a Quadlock motorcycle mount, originally designed to screw onto a clutch or brake reservoir. it offers a small range of adjustment and keeps the phone close to my eyeline without getting in the way of my view of the road. I used it on our trip to Scotland this year very successfully. A single Air Pod in my ear meant I could hear route instructions clearly without disrupting outside noises.

You can safely delete everything after the ? symbol, it's just info that tells the destination site how you got there.

I use QuadLock, not so small but very steady! The Kanulocks for the luggage are very good and handy by the way, I did use them on my trip to France and to the UK!

Quadlock Mount in my PlusFour

The nicest solution in CLPlusfour, a 3D printed holder fitted round the. padding of the dash

There is a thread about a 3D printed mount for over the dash padding. Recently I drove with Clemens to the UK in his Red Baron, and he has printed this and fitted it very neatly.

Thank you Tim, I did wonder if all that URL blather was really necessary - we live and learn!

My friend Mark will print you one still if you ask him nicely. Based on Roger's design but updated to allow different fittings.

Want to say a big THANK YOU for your replies!
Finally I go with a magsafe cover and an iphone mount. Works very good so far.
Should be a good solution for our Cornwall - Bretagne - Loire trip.
