Rene
Did you check the contacts and sensor on the low pressure side of the fuel supply ie. in between the pump by the tank and the high pressure pump supply end.

Dear Richard,
I was a little bit silly, when the MOG comes back to live I thought the problem was caused in the camsensor. But than put back in the real world when he stopped again with the „rear fuel relais“ connected again. But, as I must say I‘m happy with this result. No magic or wonder or simply the cars character, a real failure.
Before I read the comments here I also had a call to Andy at Brands Hatch Morgans. I‘m very happy that I bought my car there, allways friendly and helpful. The part is a little mystery, I can‘t found it in the parts cataloque. Only in the wiring diagram there is a connector named „to electronic fuel pump relais“. With this information Andy had a call to MMC. The part is named (official) „GDI fuel pump driver“ Part.No. U280013.
It‘s on the way to BHM for about 45,-GBP (plus German VAT).
But in our area there is a FORD Dealer in Bingen, which also had a license for US-FORD. It‘s a little journey of 30 kilometers, I think a nice idea to pull the bike out at monday.
If „U280013“ isn‘t on the shelf there, I‘ll get from BHM.
Regards René

René
I am afraid I am afraid that the Part.No. U280013 only an internal MMC designation. Ford numbers actually look different. Is there no Ford number on the relay?

It does look like the fuel pump controller is faulty René (I hate to call it a relay). Note this is driven by an FPC signal from pin 81 on the ECU (white wire) to pin 3 on the controller so check these connections which run through via chassis loom.
Note there is no monitoring feedback though for +4. On my similar age Roadster which uses the same controller, an FPM signal from pin 7 sends this data back to ECU for greater integrity I assume. It doesn't have need for a high pressure fuel pump though.

The text on that fuel pump module is:
H8QTB AU5A-9D370-FC
Made in USA.
Replacements on E Bay have 8 pins and made in Romania. Used originals are also available on E Bay. It was in common use on Fords.

FWIW my spare controller has the same 9D370 reference and FoMoCo moulded in to body. It's an 8 pin device as is the Plus 4 GDI one although only five are used.

The original on my GDI is a seven pin. I'd like to look inside but it would be destructive because it's sealed with some of that liquid looking gooey stuff, so I suppose it's just a circuit board inside.

Interesting Dave as that doesn't concur with the rear wiring loom schematic for that model as shown bottom left on this screenshot from the 2014 onwards parts book. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/VPSYakd.jpg)
