The CX Plus Four is a modern replica of a trad Plus 4. Without leaks it wouldn't capture the vintage feeling 😂

Mine’s been faultless, notwithstanding the foibles they all have (drafts and whatnot). Maybe because Morgan built it for themselves. However as is usual for me as I don’t keep cars long, it’s for sale: https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/18793330

Yes indeed. I can't see that waiting long before someone snaps it up.

my two-peneth ...Just back from a 3600 (Morgan miles) tour of Europe. NW UK to black forrest, dolomites, alps, french riviera, pyrenees & back via Santander. countless hairpin bends, up & down mountains, pouring rain to scorching sunshine. 38C in Monaco / Cannes & stop start traffic. my car is a march 22 model plus four & i've had all the faults & more. these were all sorted early on as I use the car & have piled the miles on. faults on this trip ... a sun visor screw came loose. yep I have the Allen key in the glove box. and that's it. you'd think the fan would be going off in the 38C heat & stop start traffic, no, all good. levels checked every two days & all stable. still get the water on the inner sills but the factory reckon they can tighten the doors up. I kind of use the car as a daily (not for work), so boys & girls get those cars out & sort the niggles. unfortunately due to the miles on mine its worth about 50p, but if im not changing it who cares. love the car, so to anyone thinking of getting one maybe a high miler may be the best choice.

It is definitely worth remembering that CX's aren't vintage cars or even classic cars, they are brand new modern vehicles and as such buyers should realistically be able to expect modern standards.......
However, as Morgan made their name building a car (the trad) which, by rights, should have ceased production 60 years ago when almost all the other manufacturers gave up on ladder chassis, leaf springs, side screens etc etc..... it's difficult to break the association with 'the past'.
The trads just filled a niche for an authentic retro 'continuation' vehicle that had a massive and loyal following of folk who refused to really leave a 'golden age' of British sports cars.......and why not.................. If it's not broken, dont fix it.......😆
I believe that trads will continue to have a large and loyal following long after Pickersleigh Rd is a housing estate..........🤷🏻‍♂️

I use my Plus Four as my daily driver in whatever weather the South East of Ireland throws at us! I find it great (after copious bits of Neoprene made it leakproof!!) Long may it continue

There are certain cars that an owner can forgive practically anything, (The same goes for women too apparently), and the Morgan is one of them. Another close to my heart was the Caterham Seven. I feel that owners of such cars must expect to 'bond' with their loved ones, having put in blood, sweat tears and other emotions, you end up either loving or hating. If you hate you bite the bullet, if love, then nothing anyone can say will be wrong.

On a more prosaic note, after 9 years and 14,000 miles running my ARP4, I only had a gearbox oil seal and steering gator rubbers which needed replacing, although I was surprised to have to renew the 'king pins' and bushes recently, but that is a Morgan thing, other than that, it never let me down nor gave any trouble. It is for sale because I have succumbed to a very low milage MY 25 Plus Four and am mightily impressed. It is early days yet, but I have already put 2000 miles on the clock and absolutely love driving it. Yep, there is a howling gale around the passenger widescreen and door rear, but only with the hood up and Berrybrook promise faithfully they will make it like new - something about a hide mallet........ I do believe them too, I've owned Morgans for too long not to.

Prior to the ARP4, I had a Plus 4 4 seater for a couple of years and apart from suspension which didn't suspend, it was a reliable enough car and my two early Three Wheelers didn't give any problems either. Maybe I'm just lucky............
