At that price I'd want chrome trim that lined up properly....

Plenty of room for a dog in my plus 4, 4 seater. I am in London, you are welcome to try mine out if you are local.

I would also put a vote in for the S class. I would also say a previous model SL would be nice but the extra comfort of the S Coupe would be my choice. Need a big parking space for it.

The depreciation on them is frightening for the first owner but they are more "old well built Merc" than most of the more modern small stuff. Lovely interior, so smooth down the road and a decent turn of speed in a flash. Servicing of the non-AMG models is easy and not out of order.

I did almost 100,000 in a CL600 and even that older model still managed the most comfortable and relaxing 20mpg ever. Worth every penny of the £40k I paid for it 2.8 years old! I use a specialist dealer which has access to the MB systems etc.

I love the older Astons like the DB-9 but if it burps up a code you need to brace for impact (wallet) and they are not always good with time on them. If I could have a few cars and money no object I would like one of the slightly later DB-9's for the purity of it's shape.

The Maserati, beautiful but I would not go near it with a third party warranty and access to parts and costs. It shows a code and you loose it for a week and a £1000.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

This.

But you would need to go to the SL Shop (and pay their premium) for a top end model to remove the spannering (and rust repair) requirements.
