Sorry for the late reply, and thank you Richard for the wiring diagram.
After some hours fun with the diagrams I realize a seven pin part is driven by five wires. I think that‘s the point the car doesn‘t „see“ the problem and you can‘t see it in the OBD.
And when I went from the fusebox to the back I measured the wires at the connector. With the four pins bridged, the fifth pin (W36) shows 2.6V. As I learned (thank you also Richard) a usual voltage out of the ECU. So no problem there. No waiting for a call from FORD Bingen about „the part“.
Also about „the fifth pin“ W38, in a time not knowing Richard’s post about the ECU, I had a deeper look at the wiring diagram. From the back the wire runs to the ECU. And changes the code to W97 at the connector main wiring to the back and W61 from the main wiring to the ECU to PIN81.
In summary I learned a lot about modern car electric. Not only that it doesn‘t work with 12V, some Volts less are usual. And the (for me) „new“ named wires are not so bad and with a little (a lot of hours) thinking it‘s very helpful and not so far from the old LUCAS style.
Now I hope for a „nice firing up“ with the new fuel pump driver or however it would be named.
Greets René

René you can't read much information from simple standing voltage measurements of wires that carry variable control voltages in this case from ECU, unless you know not only the voltage range but specifcs in various engine states of course. Even then rapid changes may not register on meter.

Today a journey to FORD Bingen. They‘ve got the part! And, the official FORD name is „Control Unit“ Part.-No. 5211729.
As the man told me: never sold, the first one since 2021. And it is a VERY big FORD dealer. So it‘s real a little exotic.
Back at home I connected it an do some Kilometers around the house. I not shure about to trust him. But more than 7KM, 5miles. He‘s back to live. But I‘m not shure about him. It feels like some horses are missing and he bangs and prop a little. So tomorrow I‘ll visit the guys at our MOTstation. For a professional look at the OBD.
And than some more miles… or kilometers. And when we‘re connected in trust again we‘ll do a bigger journey. Hello Britain, we‘re prepared!
Thank you to all for your ideas and help!
Greets and Regards
René

Is that the fuel pump control unit? The „thing“ has different names. It‘s the part that Dave W. shows. MMC has two different „official“ names and on the FORD box there is a third name. But now: as I said the MOG doesn‘t run well. A 30miles testdrive: hmmm… up to 1200/1500rpm, 1500/3000rpm bad, struggling, from 3200 on like hell… So a stop at our local MOT-Center and a professional look at the OBD. Nothing wrong. But the man says: strange, sounds wrong. May be sometimes one cylinder missing? At home I changed back from the new BOSCH to the demaged (missing safety nose) FOMOCO coil: running smooth and straight through the revs. But also the next problem: I can‘t read the part.-no. DSVYA or D5VYA? There is also a post about it. VERY happy, only one step and the problem is solved. He runs like hell… Greets and Regards René

This morning I‘ve got the original FOMOCO/ FORD coil. And fit it. Also „rebuild“ the plywoodracer.
Later in the day there was the question about meeting friends for a glass of wine. So: let‘s try the MOG! A great journey on small roads. Rheinhessen. A very nice area.
Back on the way home my wife said: „Gut repariert“. It means something like „good work“.
So it‘s also a thank you to the poeple here! From my wife and me.
Yes, the Plywoodracer or as my wife says „Autochen“ is back to life.
Greets and Regards
René
And yes, have a look at a sports green German Plus4 in early September.
