The Morgan Super 3 booklet on options differentiates between accessory rails for the cockpit area and those for the side blades. I got the soft panniers which came with two rails for each bag. Need to get the corresponding rails for the bottom of each bag, which apparently attach to a "loop" (looks like a strap of the type you'd see on a backpack or other carry-all). I gather that the loop may be in each bag--I'm having my guy check that--but wondered what the difference is between the cockpit accessory rails and the side blade rails apart from that-- FWIW, all are apparently "out of stock" right now from the factory, Melvyn Rutter and a couple US dealers.
Here's images of what I'm talking about:

Otherwise, proceeding apace. We've installed the underseat locking compartment, next will be to wire in the Beeline Moto II with charging mount, and we have not yet gotten to the tonneau- I specified the mohair in gray to match the color of the vehicle, but gather that Morgan supply different versions, depending on whether there are wind screens (which I have). Another issue my guy has to look at--I'm hoping these are zippered to allow only passenger side to be covered.
Doing these optional accessories post purchase isn't as easy as you'd think. If anybody is considering a Super3, I'd suggest buying one that is fully optioned already. But my question re the accessory rail differences remains as I sort through this process. (The shop is a 1/2 hour drive from my house so I'm not there hands-on; thankfully one of the owners has a M3W Twin and is very "invested" in getting mine sorted properly).
Cheers to all,
A Yank in Texas

For what it's worth, I tried the Beeline for a while. I gave up on it, when you are used to navigating with a real screen its instructions are vague and confusing.
For trips when I actually need navigation I use a plug-in CarPlay screen which I glued a Ram Ball to the back of, as I have a ram ball on my M3W dash and the associated arm.

- that bottom rail/loop looks as though it would be a ripe candidate for some 3D printing....?

No expert myself, but if you could find an original (possibly not at the moment...?) and get it scanned you could be on to a winner. wine

Aren't the accessory rails the only part MMC have ever patented?

I hear ya. I do have the Morgan Quad Lock phone mount, which attaches to an accessory rail that is already installed under the dash. If needed I could mount a larger format phone there- I think an iPad would dominate and not sure I want that, but have the flexibility to experiment with it.

I'm going to try to find the original parts, but yes, Morgan claim to have patented some aspect of these- I didn't do an in-depth patent search on line, I gather from info learned by another Super3 owner who may be on this board that these work quite similarly to T-track clamps used for precision mill-work or wood work, perhaps it is the tightening mechanism on the fixing knobs they claim as proprietary.
Main objective for these is to attach the soft panniers for touring any distance.

"Back-order" is over. Reminds me of the scene in Andromeda Strain:"self-destruct is cancelled." I'm also reliably informed that there is no meaningful difference between the cockpit rails and the side blade rails. We shall see!

Billhart, I can confirm that the rails are all identical, they are the same piece of aluminum casting
