Ah, unlikely that both would fail/block, so I'd go ignition side. What dizzy do you have?

Worth checking as to whether the fuel tank vent is effective.

Back to basics, which you don't seem to have mentioned as your first checks?
Have you checked for fuel getting to those Webers? Pull the hose and stick it in jug, then crank the engine.
And a spark at the plugs?
Finally, looks like a silly question but, did you fill it up enthusiastically with Shell V-Power by any chance? I have my reasons for asking...
Cheers, Colin

Whilst you are fiddling around install an electric fuel pump, easiest and cheapest fix to a similar problem I was having. Accept you have a stainless tank, (sadly mine is not), but the old mechanical pump didn't seem to be able to cope with even the least bit of contamination. Added bonus is the comforting whirr when you turn on the ignition.

Hillclimber I always use Shell V max. The other day I had to use a PB fuel. A little 'word to the wise' is always be doubly sure you are picking up the Shell V-Max PETROL pump. And not the Shell V-Max DIESEL pump. They each have the same , big, red, V-Max branding escutcheon facing you, but on a dull day you may not have paid enough attention to the colour of the handle behind. Symptoms can include a progressive misfire and some white smoke, before the oily plugs stop sparking. Remedy is simple, but diagnosis can take some time.... #askmehowIknow

Diesel pump handsets have a larger diameter nozzle, designed not to fit modern diameter petrol filler inlets, although older Mogs may have a larger 'universal' filler and cap

Hillclimber ... we won't ask how you know 🙂 ... I will admit that I filled my jerry-can in haste on the way to Forrestburn one weekend and ended up filling my single-seater with Diesel ... at least it gave my class-mates a good laugh! 😆

K Keith, pretty much my own story. I topped up my tank from a can, before leaving F'burn at the end of the Sunday. Ended up with a mixture in the tank, and I looked like a Red Arrows display aircraft before making it past Heartburn Services. And had to be lifted home. Could not work what was going wrong after two days of testing/ resetting in my workshop. Until finding that a fuel spill I had left when checking pressure was not evaporating. Retraced my steps mentally, checked the can.... Normally I fill the car and the can together at the petrol station. But had unusually filled the can separately, while it was raining and in failing light. Cheers, Colin
