I'm curious to see where this will end in three days. It seems that the depreciation of a Trad is greater than that of a CX in the UK.

The Brooklands is a niche limited edition. The green is very dark. The black wires, grille and blackpack are not to everyone's taste. The unpainted bonnet is definitely niche, and most buyers seem to avoid black interiors. So you need a buyer who wants one. MMC did like limited editions with limited options. The last time they did was the launch Plus Six. Two colours, and quickly 'improved' and improved again and again, leaving those early customer developers with a Plus Six which is arguably the least desirable. Although I would still go for hood flaps. In a sea of sameness, think how desirable would be a manual box. , The current raft of limited runs allows a level of bespoke. That's good.

Unless they've got it on at no reserve, which I'd strongly doubt, you wouldn't imagine it won't sell......... The price on their web site of £44500 seems....... optimistic.......😆 not only in the current market, but even several years ago....🤷🏻♂️
When Morgan discovered the concept of the 'limited edition' they......embraced it.......😆 I always thought it seemed a bit desperate, they really didn't need to try and mark or commemorate absolutely every event/location/date............🤷🏻♂️
I sold cars for a while in the 80's, every other weekend we'd advertise a 'limited edition' in the local paper. Take a basic car, add some stripes, different hubcaps, a radio aerial and give it a silly name like calypso/fandango/rio which cost almost nothing, and give it an inflated price to make the punters think they were getting something unique........🤷🏻♂️
To the casual observer..... the 'Brooklyn' (😂😂) is just a Morgan with a shiney bonnet.... just saying there aren't many of them doesn't really make it more valuable....imho...🤷🏻♂️....it's a Morgan after all...and there aren't many of them....
Seeing as pretty well every Morgan owner has an almost limitless number of opportunities to personalise their car either from new or aftermarket, a 'limited edition' just seems to be a Morgan that isn't.........personalised......😂 It's marketing BS.....!

Remember a school-pal's Dad having one of the last Anglia Super estates ... at the end (and with the upcoming Escort looming large over sales) they turned to two-tone metalic paint and all the extras as standard to clear them out as special-editions.
Been a mainstream manufacturer ploy for at least 60 years.
Do like the 80th SE though .. they got rhat one right 🙂

There is an amazing story about faking the Allegro 1750 Sport by a dealership, but I'll leave that one there. I did look at a brand new genuine one at a BL dealership in Derbyshire and it had a full respray because the masking lines were clear around the stripes both sides.Happy days at BL.
