Hi, whilst out today I used my screen wash and found water leaking from behind the dash which was somewhat disconcerting to say the least. Must be perished water piping or a broken joint but can anyone tell me how to get to the piping to replace it.

Yes this has been known about for quite some time. My 2008 4/4 had exactly the same happen. There are three screws holding the dash in place, one at each side and a less obvious screw high up in the middle. Firstly lower the steering wheel to its very bottom using the small lever up under the dash to its immediate left. Its not possible to replace the tubing without lowering the dashboard. The original cheap rubber quickly perishes and must be disposed of. Replace all this tubing with neoprene fuel tubing of the same or similar bore. This much better tubing is commonly used by model aircraft fuel lines and is not too expensive but is a permanant fix. Leaks must be prevented here at all costs or very expensive damage can be done to the circuitry beneath.

Be sure to replace the tee pieces and jointers as these are normal pathetic Morgan quality and will be the next failure to risk death of the electronic board behind the dashboard.

The standard licquorice tube lasts minutes before failure.

You should disconnect the battery first and take pictures as you lower the dash as wires may come off.
I put a towel on top of the steering wheel boss to avoid scratches. Onviously empty the glove box.

I replaced all the hose & T piece with high quality aquarium kit. Later cars have duct tape over the Tpiece holding it to the fire wall.

The advice above is absolutely correct. When this happened to mine, a 2004 4/4, I replaced the tubing with standard windscreen washer tubing from Halfords, clear plastic, and it was fine. When you take the dash off and see the pathetic original tubing you will wonder not why it failed but how it lasted so long. It’s a simple fix.

While you are in there, check the little gaskets that go between the screen wash jets and the bodywork. When I first got my car in 2021, one of them had perished and was missing. A small component but vital to keep water out

Oh yes! presume you have the rubbish black ( use only once ) tubing. Yes it all needs to be changed out. Not a hard job and that includes the connectors too as they are just a likely to fail. Excellent tip from L O T W, easy to miss those washer jet gaskets and quicklt remedied with the dash dropped forward.

I wonder how many PCB boards were stuffed by Morgans choice of washer tubing and fittings? Under a £10 note to fit good quality tube yet over £600 for the dash PCB!
