It's been a few months and getting all the parts from Morgan has taken time but the guys at Petrol Lounge here in Austin have been wonderful in helping me get my
Super 3 personalized the way I want it: Moto II, with a charger mount on the steering column, installing a USB port on the passenger side of the compartment below the dash, fitting the tonneau using Loxx stainless steel pins and snap buttons and finally, getting the accessory rails necessary to mount the side panniers. The vehicle has received a protective paint film and ceramic coating, and the underseat locking storage compartment has been installed. One of the last items is the installation of a set of vintage Smiths rally instruments- an 8 day clock and stop watch in black.
I'll try to post photos soon. I'm very pleased with the work these guys have done- they are perfectionists- and are very invested in getting this done right. Randy, one of the owners, is a M3W owner as well as a track instructor, and has been a driving force behind the work, along with Chris Naylor, who is able to disassemble and refit parts in a seamless way. Though not Morgan dealers, these guys have really proven their mettle. I'm enormously please with their work. And thanks to Talk Morgan members for chiming in on questions I raised along the way!

Rather than using Velcro or similar to mount the rally instruments to the dash, Chris at Petrol Lounge came up with a clever way to use the Loxx mounting pins as guide pins for the holes in the mounting plate with a clasp (for the tonneau) to lock the instrument panel to the passenger side dash. And it will allow a one button release. Here's an image of the instruments being held in rough position. I go up tomorrow to see how everything has come together:

So, Phase I is done. I took it for a drive today, highway, country roads, hi-speed Texas byways, and the occasional routing through the local neighborhoods. Drove like a champ,despite some drizzle. Vehicle now home, which is not where I store it ( have an enclosed garage for that). Thinking of phase two. Brake lights that tie into the vehicle braking system, rather than some usb brake lights with accelerometers, open to suggestions. Would not mind figuring out how to lock the soft panniers, but they don't seem to accept standard locks zipper to zipper. What else? I drove in the rain, and it wasn't scary, I was wary of launching from a dead stop, but once underway, the vehicle handled with aplomb. I'm sure that other drivers thought I was a little crazy driving in the rain, but that is part of the experience. The guys at Petrol Lounge did me right, they were meticulous in every aspect of installing the accessories. The Moto II was OK, it could not find the "fun" route to a country road I know so I just did it from past experience-- Texas roads open up to 80 mph and I was not intent on speed, but this thing handled fine, as long as I wasn't launching from a dead stop in the rain.

Just saw the latest comments, I love motoring so that trip didn't put me off, though it set me back for a couple days. Craig & Bruce, I have a friend from the music business who is an avid endurance event guy- he's done all of those, and he's ten years older than me. I know he also did the Cannonball Baker run- not the car thing, but vintage motorcycles--imagine riding a hardtail (no rear suspension) across the US. Yikes! (Of course, he's from the UK, very tough guy or bloke)

@Dennis A- if you are looking for accessory rails any Morgan dealer in your area should be able to get them. They were back-ordered for a couple months. I gather a lot of people like the NY (upstate) dealer.
Price- variable. I suspect since these parts came in say three months ago or so (or more recently if a dealer needs to replenish inventory), they will be subject to the latest surcharges. I did discover that the rails on the side panels for the panniers are essentially the same as those for windscreen and upper body--with one exception- there is a small textile loop on one rail, placed at the bottom, for you to hook the soft pannier. Other than that, they seem identical. (my recollection was that the panniers came with those rails with loops- or at least that was how the panniers were shipped by MorganWest).
