Hi all!!

I have just *purchased* my very first car - a 1967 Morgan 4/4 Competition. I own a couple of other cars, but these were inherited. Owning a Morgan was a childhood dream of mine, and now, at the ripe old age of 30, my dream has come true. This car is a silky fantasy to drive. I've just picked it up in Arizona and driven it home to Atlanta over the course of a week. Nary a hiccup, purred like a kitten the whole way. I do (almost) all the maintenance and repairs on my vehicles myself, and am looking forward to caring for this amazing machine until I am too arthritic to get in and out.

I've ordered Completely Morgan for this series, and have the engine manual and the original workshop manual for the car. Are there any other resources that would be good to have?

Any and all insights, cautions, and approbations are welcomed. Overjoyed to be here!!!

Whow you have found yourself a real winner with this Mog. I love the Bluemells steering wheel, the jazzy red and white striped hood and the Sapelle wood dashboard. Oh and the stone guard headlamp protectors. Lots of little extras make it a very well dressed machine and I keep noticing others like badge bar and the upgraded headlamp triple chrome supports. And the bumpers with added overiders.

Not entirely true Richard. There are quite a few young members; however, they don't post extensively (iirc, the youngest being currently 22 - albeit not an owner. There may be younger but I know this to be actual). Funnily enough, the youngest used to be 'YoungOne'; however, she was the youngest over a decade (perhaps more) ago and now even Giovanni would be younger than her. At the risk of sound old, how time flies grin2

What a lovely car, well done! For a car of this vintage, especially one in the USA, there are a couple of enthusiast-produced books you will find very useful, one called "The Morgan Bedside Reader" by Fred Sissons, and one called "A Yank in Malvern" by Cuthbert J. Twillie.

Back when I got them you had to write off to someone and get posted a stack of photocopied paper, but there might be somewhere with PDF versions available.

Simon, thank you for the correction and I am delighted to read that.

That was the young lady from Bath I believe.
