What's the story with the rear wings, they do not look right.

The ad states that it is a repaired insurance write-off so I guess the rear wings were modified in the accident.

Buyer beware. It might still be a good buy for someone with the patience and skills to complete the repairs.

The drivers side rear looks odd, it seems to stick out

Same as the near side rear.. not right at all..It might be the camera view but in some photos down the sides both the rear wheels look tucked in at the bottom.. wonder if it has had a major back end bash with a cheapo repair??

Considerable damage to both the off- and the nearside rearwing. The rear reflectors disappeared. The innerwing offside pops out under the wing. You can also see a poor match off the rear valance behind the numberplate. The car must have had a considerable impact at the rear and the "repair" is not worthy the name. Strange case! I wouldn't trust it.

An online image search shows this accident-damaged car, possibly the same one ? Rear-end damage and general twisting apparent.

I'm a little confused. In the UK, do you have to disclose accident damage, even if it has been “repaired”, in a sales advertisement? I just looked at the original advertisement on eBay, which has now ended. There is no mention of an accident, just emotional drivel about “being too old for the car and parting with it with a heavy heart”….of course only If the one above in the pic is the car from the advertisement.

It has been a write-off, it has been repaired poorly and the ad is full of bull (TBH).

Cat S or Cat N cars really struggle to sell even if perfectly repaired...I would say that car will be almost impossible to shift? From memory it was pulled from eBay, or did not make reserve when auction bids were at £22,500.....about a month ago.

You don't need to report accident damage unless asked. But these cars have been written off by the insurers and they then get a category code on the log book.

We have to state this in every car advertisement, otherwise you are liable to prosecution. Am I right in understanding that you don't have to specify the category in an ad, but then find out later when you're on your way to the car?
