Had the chance to buy one of those when I decided to go with the Porsche 911 Turbo cabriolet instead in the mid 1990's Needed a little money spending on the roof, but much quieter engine than the one in the video. Always regret not buying it, but was a tight fit for the garage and one of the Harleys would have had to go to make more space.

Yes, they go for very strong money these days, they were never an inexpensive car to buy, the 280SE was a relatively more simpler car than the earlier 300 version, that always tended to suffer from the fallout of having a very complicated and sophisticated suspension system which can hold it's price down.

The car looks far too polished to be credible. That doesn't suit a Type 35. After a winter of everyday use on roads covered in road salt and bit fine sandpaper and a massage with used motor oil for the seats, things are looking much better.

SOLD for £43K with commission just over £46K, someone got an absolute bargain compared to current retail prices in the mid to upper £60K range currently being asked. They didn't make many of these Aero Plus 8, there are few for sale and those that are like many of the P6's seem to be sticking and not selling. Maybe sign of the times or things to come..
