Hi All. Has anyone recently purchased a replacement cam belt that lasted more than a few thousand miles? My friend recently purchased and installed one of the newly improved, kevlar, belts from Big Dog Motorcycles here in the USA and it failed within a thousand miles. I contacted Gates, the supposed original manufacturer of the belts and they do not carry a replacement. I also sent an email to X-Wedge Motorcycles in China and will let you know if I receive a response. In the meantime, if anyone has had good luck with a replacement cam/timing belt recently, please let me know where tp source one. We will all need one eventually, kind of like a casket, I guess, so it is best to be prepared.
