Yeah, probably not going to renew this year. I've said before that although I've not used the services, I'm happy to donate my subs for others, but there seems to have been a real change in the attitude of the club in the last year and I'd rather give my cash to a better cause.

I renewed this year but won't next, the whole club thing is becoming a rip off.

In an attempt to put things into perspective, I am in the process of watching a YouTube vid of JWW taking part in a Gumball Rally in a Lambo, the insurance for the rally for that car is £8.5K, and the cost to enter the event is circa £100k.... How the top 1% live...?

Me..? These days I`m happiest rumbling around my local roads, though in years past I enjoyed much longer trips touring Southern Europe in the Mog with my good lady, and as many tools as I could fit into the space she left me, which was not much, once her little essentials were fitted in.....(-:

Think my "specialist" insurance requires that I am a Morgan club member...?

Although I have yet to participate in any club based event despite owning 5 Morgans, I still feel that membership does make you feel part of something however this 75th event does seem to be a step to far even if I wanted to go, A few years back when I was running one of my Jaguars, the JEC had a 35th do held at a Warners hotel with an outside event held in the grounds for all to join in, I seem to recall it was all of £10 plus whatever hotel arrangements you cared to pay for. Great weekend away, perhaps the MSCCC is overstepping the mark.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

I don't know what you're talking about, it fits perfectly with the company's new target customer base. The club seems to be adapting. Do you get a Gucci goody bag when you enter the hotel?

When I had my Land Rover, just being a member of a Landy forum (LRUK) was often enough to trigger a Owners Club discount.

I'm with G&W so will see if my lack of membership increases the price next month.

As an aside, and in the process of looking at my own insurance policy, I've spoken with one of the Morgan team at Gott & Wynne who confirmed that membership of any club does not impact your insurance premium; they aim to provide the best price and service to all owners whether they are a member of a club or not.

Reassuring, thank you!
