The lack of flexibility available to prospective attendees is a big turn off for me and I suspect many others.

I hope for MSCC’s sake that this is a success. However, the direction in which MSCC appear to be heading is questionable.

It's a bonkers decision, surely no-one will go?

Frankly I think its disgusting the club is meant to be inclusive and given its the 75th anniversary you would think that day visits would be allowed.
I agree with some of the comment's above this club is becoming elitist maybe they should remember that they have no club without members.If they dont want me as a day visitor they won't be getting my membership renewal. Think its time for a real owners club for real people that love driving their morgan

I've been a member of MSCC for the best part of 20 years, I had a few years off a couple of times but tend to drift back.......
In that time I've been to 5 Mog gatherings I think, I don't go to noggins and usually just look at the pictures in the Miscellany..... I do question why I keep renewing....🤷🏻‍♂️😁

Of the Mog's that I have been to, I've only ever been for the day/afternoon, some of the hotel choices seem to have the feel of a residential care home to me.........👴🏻
Even Cornwall in 08 we did our own thing, we stayed where we wanted and went to the event for an afternoon.....🤷🏻‍♂️

To restrict attendance to all or nothing seems to go totally against the idea of being 'a club', especially in this day and age of inclusivity.
I know many folk would love to be able to go, especially because of the location/venue.......

Hopefully we get a really good turn out for the TM gathering........................👍🏼

Complete drift - It was the 200th Anniversary of the railways last month.

Bet you didn't have to spend over a grand to stay in a crappy hotel just to attend a meeting that you were not welcome at for that one

Yes Bob, there was a lot going on down here for the kids and the older kids to get involved in including a ride on (free) railway shipped into the Dartmouth park.

The Guildhall had a huge train track set up for the kids to play with and activities for them to have a go at - all free...

I've only ever visited MogFests as a day visitor; a "gala dinner and dance" is my idea of purgatory. Judging by comments I've heard and read, I'm not alone. It seems a pity that we're being denied access next year.

I live near Goodwood who are world experts at extracting every last penny out of event attendees, but even they haven't had the cheek to block book all the hotels in the area. I hope this doesn't give them ideas.

The best protest would be lack of attendance and withdrawal of membership, however in my experience what people say they will do and what they actually do can be polar opposites.
