Any Aero or Plus 8 owners with rear exhausts, do you get a toxic smell wafting into the cabin when you're roof down and you accelerate?

Trying to figure out what is causing it on my Plus 8, the suggestion is that it's the exhaust boxes (non Morgan, non Librands).

My S1 Aero certainly didn't smell like this... it's like a burning plastic smell rather than oil or fuel.

Thanks.

Had something similar with my Roadster. Side exit exhausts cleared it.

Had my +8 43 years. Pre catalyst. The exhaust fumes blow back in with the roof down aerodynamics. Run side pipes for 30 years, cured the problem.

Side pipes just move the problem. To when you are stationary!

The pipework, cats and silencer boxes run pretty close to the running boards and other bits of bodywork, when it all gets nice and hot they will cook any underseal, waxoil etc and that could be what you're getting a whiff of

Oh, one other thought, it's the change of season. Local roads around here are wet and contains lots of horse........food recycling which may have got splashed over the CAT and downpipes? Get it up on axle stands or a ramp and have a low pressure jet wash?
