MSCC will have a stand at the NEC next month. Perhaps those going could have a word with those manning the stand so that the club is in no doubt as to what members think.

There's been some discussion on the MSCC Bulletin Board, but the general response seems to be 'if you're not with us, you must be against us'.

I've cancelled my renewal this year, not just because of the 75th - in my 6 years of membership I've never been to an event or noggin, and although I persevered with Miscellany, these days it gets unwrapped and binned as there's very little of interest to me. The £57 will get me a tank of fuel and I'll have more fun and use out of that.

The Flying Scotsman is at the NYMR this autumn. its also a good time to take in a visit to the railway museum in York which has just opened a new exhibition hall.

The cost completely rules it out for me. In add addition to the two 2 nights for the event we would need to book an extra night for the day before so we can start the event at a reasonable time.

When you add in any additional spending whilst there this makes it a very expensive 2 day trip out so I will look at other ways to spend the money. Hope they have decent goody bags.

That has a sort of potential to be a TM day out. Easy for me to say being on the doorstep........
