I'd be happy to arrange an open invite event to Caff&Mac (Bowl or Hill), Shuttleworth, Gaydon.

Those down south could do something like Brooklands or Beaulieu.

Great British Car Journey is another good venue, and there's a whole raft of Bike/Car themed Cafes around the place.

I think the forum started in August, so that would be a good month to do stuff (purely from a selfish perspective as I'm off work!)

Phil, I'd be there, that sounds really good and all new to me thumbs

I declined SCT's early booking offer saying it was way too pricey.
Here is their response.
"Good morning,

Thank you for getting in touch. We are sorry to hear that you will not be joining us on the 75th Anniversary for MSCC. We are aware that the prices are dear, however we are under instruction of the MSCC club to include all of the extra’s as a default this year instead of previous years when we used to have them as optional extra’s.

We hope to be able to book with you in the future.

Kind regards,

SCT Administration"

I do hope the Plus four event is more reasonably priced. I went to the 60th at Prescott which was fun.

I’m another who jumped ship with MSCC when the new insurance was launched. It seems that everything MSCC touch has that extra something..££££££.
I think they have forgotten just why they exist!

so MSCC are saying the increased costs are down to SCT, and SCT are saying they're down to MSCC........

I think MSCC are trying to create a standout event. They need I understood 150 attendees which given > 4k members seems possible. I hope it works out for those members who feel it is for them & the organisers who put in so much work.

I would hope that each MSCC centre would plan a local event, but I understand not all on here are with MSCC so, yes, independent events for the Plus 4 75th would be welcomed.

(I only quote John above as I needed the numbers confirmed, it's not a criticism of his comment)

It seems a bit daft (and elitist ?) that something as important as a 75th anniversary of an organisation with over 4000 worldwide members has only 150 hotel rooms for attendees who want to stay for the proper event.

We've done lots of Mogs over the years and the ability to book the extras by choice was great

The MMC 100th was amazing, felt very inclusive and there were literally 100's of Mogs in the car park each day
