Forget second hand prices of Morgans, our economy and its woes is affecting Ferrari. Interesting article in Saturdays FT , front page. Seems that they have been reducing the new cars coming into the UK. in the hope of stemming reductions in second hand prices.. The boss also says being RHD vehicles means the second hand cars are not available/of interest to other European countries. Too many non doms have left, etc etc., Thank god Rachel will have all the answers to solve our problems in November.
I hate to talk the country down but I’m just glad I no longer run my own businesses . London still has a buzz in some areas but it’s more muted these days . We might have been a nation of shopkeepers but many high streets look depressed with closed shops often replaced by nail bars, barbers and charity offerings, Thankfully some Asian areas in London have vibrant shops, late night opening hours with great restaurants - some a bit to blingy …….one local one has a few tables with a steam running through them and at the end a small volcano with colour changing lights and steam coming from it. The foods great but the rice can fall in the stream ! Bit bonkers really.
Have a great weekend, MM

Lotdofthewings, you ask about Asian Morgan owners ……a small kitchen design shop a mile from me is owned by an Asian ‘middle aged’ guy who has a nice black Plus 6 and a Morgan 3 wheeler ! Business must be good and margins high ! Chatted with him a couple of times as his place is next door to a good ale house. MM

That was a cheap car. My friend bought it and I’m pleased he did, if he hadn’t it’d be sitting in my garage. A great car.

'Thankfully some Asian areas in London have vibrant shops' Hmmm. That of course, depends on whether you think it's safe going into London. From the Bedford area, we used to visit regularly, we don't any more. And - whilst I've driven into London as recently as 2024, I wouldn't have done that in a Mog, and I wouldn't even think about it in the current state of of our Capital.

I wouldn't hesitate taking a Morgan into the village and parking up in the basement of the Union Jack Club.
Here in deepest South Devon we have regular immigrant landings on our unpatrolled coastline - smuggling wild country down here with offshore GPS drug drops recovered when the coast is clear - been going on forever, tis impossible to police in such a busy vast coastline.
